I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!

Last week we used our DT skills to design and build our own straw, stick and brick houses like in the story of the Three Little Pigs, which we have been studying. We had a go at experimenting with the different materials and looking for different techniques to bind the materials together to make them strong. Then we worked in our teams to build the houses. There were some fabulous examples of team work and every team now has three houses made from different materials. This week we will see how strong our designs and builds are when they come face to face with wolf’s ‘huff and puff’ (aka Caretaker Dave’s leaf blower!)……
