Zoo Fun

We had a fabulous day at the zoo and the sun even shone for us! There were so many wonderful animals to see and everyone did a great job of keeping their energy up as we walked around the length of the zoo taking it all in. We saw tigers, giraffes, snakes, monkeys, penguins, gorillas and flamingos to name but a few. Here are a few pictures of what we got up to….

While some of us used out five senses to identify different animals, the rest of us explored the bug house on our arrival. Some of us were brave enough to touch a cockroach and snail – I was definitely not one of them!

We also visited the meerkats and had lots of fun going in our own meerkat borrows to get a better look. As well as getting up close and friendly with the farm animals.

One of our favourite stops was the reptile house – most of the inhabitants were so well camouflaged it was a challenge spotting them!

We were all really impressed by the giraffes and just how tall they really are. Next to them lived the pygmy hippo too who was very small in comparison!

Finally we made a stop at penguin beach where the penguins were in a very friendly and playful mood.

Well done everyone on your fabulous behaviour and a great trip. I am looking forward to finding out which animal was your favourite tomorrow!

A massive thank you to Nazrex, Paul and Patricia for their help on the trip today!
